Eric Benhamou (Ai 172), AFAM president emeritus, chairman and CEO of Benhamou Global Ventures, an outstanding entrepreneur who received in 1998 the Medal of Honor of Ellis Island, that rewards most meritorious immigrants, met students in person on Paris campus on November 3rd.
The parcours US, CREDA ( création d'entreprise) and PEIT ( parcours entrepreneuriat et innovation technologique) students could attend the meeting in person. Eric Benhamou recounted his professional journey, including the creation of companies and the challenges he faced. Eric talked about challenges and lessons of entrepreneurship and explained his current role as an investor and how he supports new startups.
The session ended with a round of Q/A.

Here is what those attending the meeting shared:

“Eric Benhamou’s presentation gave me a key perspective on how choosing an American university impacts bringing a tech innovation from the lab to market. It also offered valuable insights into the geopolitics of entrepreneurship and shared strategic advice on establishing a transatlantic business. Finally, it clarified the fundraising process, what VCs look for, and the right timing and methods for it”

Ilan, student participant

"Fifteen years ago, CREDA students and their professor set foot on the legendary ground of Silicon Valley to meet Eric Benhamou. There, the entrepreneur passionately shared the core values of boldness and innovation. Fifteen years later, his dedication to teaching remains undiminished."

Patrice Dubois, CREDA, Associate Professor at Arts et Metiers

“So delighted to see Eric Benhamou again — an inspiring visionary whose journey continues to embody innovation, leadership, and impact. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students and start-ups to connect with him and be inspired.”

Audrey Stewart, International and European Development Director, Arts et Metiers

“Three startups from the Arts et Metiers incubator, Syrobo, Vestaclim and Park'in, had the opportunity to pitch their project before Eric. With Eric's ability to immediately jump into the story and instantly see what is at stake, the discussion was precise and fruitful.”

Marie Brandewinder, Arts et Metiers Incubator Director
