Entrepreneurship study tour report

The Arts et Métiers Entrepreneurship study tour team publishes its report of their visit completed in June 2010 (see earlier news posting on June 17, 2010). The report may be found on www.aeam2010.com/blog. The report was coordinated by Philippe ARNAUD, who sent us the following note: "... I arrived August 2nd in Kansas City MO, I work for Certainteed Saint Gobain at their fiberglass manufactury. I am a project engineer on the training program for operators. I'll be there until July 2011. ..." AFAM is proud to have contributed to the success of this trip undertaken by the most promising entrepreneurs of this generation of Arts et Metiers ParisTech graduates.

Arts et Métiers ParisTech Entrepreneurship study tour

This month (June 2010), a delegation of 17 Arts et Metiers ParisTech students (recently graduated) and 3 professors will undertake an entrepreneurship study tour in Silicon Valley. The trip will include visits to Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, and several large and small technology companies headquartered in the region. The objectives of the tour are to strengthen the links between our school and some leading universities, to deepen the understanding that students have about entrepreneurship and stimulate their own entrepreneurial ambitions, and to develop expanded internship opportunities for Arts et Metiers ParisTech students. AFAM is proud to be a sponsor of this project and will host the delegation in Silicon Valley on June 24, 2010....

AFAM Silicon Valley chapter dinner in June '09

The AFAM Silicon Valley chapter met informally over dinner on June 18, 2009 at Hotel Cabana in Mountain View. Attendance included Frank Chevalier (Neopost), Jean Lachaud and his wife (NASA), Jean Marc Ludwig (Nvidia), Sebastien Boucher and his wife (all the way from Modesto, CA), Philippe Brun, Claude Leglise, Xavier Wartelle, and Eric Benhamou.

Patrick Corsi completes visit to Virginia Tech in March '09
